Academic Scholarships

  • VIHF is committed to ensuring that families enjoy the opportunity to choose an education, including faith- based, that emphasizes the principles at the core of the American Republic. Scholarship funding will be limited to those schools with 501(c)3 status.

  • Eligibility for a scholarship most particularly rests on the school's History and/or Civics curriculum.

We wish to support teaching that, at every grade level, familiarizes the student with the important aspects of America, such as our country's geography, culture, achievements, and leaders.

Students should come away with an appreciation of the Founders’ vision of a country which celebrates Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. They should also have an understanding of the Founders’ words and documents, including the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, and the Federalist Papers.

Scope of the Scholarships

VIHF will award scholarships two times a year.

VIHF would like these grants to go to children of families who may not be otherwise able to afford tuition. In addition to aiding students currently enrolled, siblings should be given preference. It is VIHF’s hope that the scholarships will eventually help to increase the number of families in attendance.

Grant requests must include a copy of your current Social Studies and U.S. History curriculum, as well as answers to the following questions:

  • What portion of the current annual school budget is allocated to financial aid?
  • What are the school’s parameters for determining scholarship eligibility?
  • Other than traditional academic assessments, how does the school determine a student’s success?
  • How could we support your history curriculum in the future?
  • What mechanism will be used to inform the grantor of the students experience?
  • Please indicate the school’s administrative contact person and preferred methods of communicating.
